Abstract:

Universal Design Handbook is a one-stop reference to designing for ADA and other standards, both American and international. Its comprehensive coverage includes accessibility for the disabled, the elderly, and children and encompasses vision, touch, cognitive impairment, and hearing as well as motor impairment. Residential, commercial, office, and educational facilities are included, plus outdoor areas, products and furniture, and access to telecommunications, electronics, and the internet. CD includes newest ADAAG and other graphic standards, ready for downloading into drawings - an often requested feature - as well as reusable checklists for different building types and both renovation projects and new construction.
