Standard Drawing Symbols, Abbreviations, Graphical Representation

Author: NSW TAFE Commission,
Year: 1981
Type: Book

Abstract:

The aim of this publication is to provide a reference source for standard symbols and abbreviations as used in architectural, building and engineering drawings. The majority of the symbols and abbreviations agree with those in Australian Standards as issued by the Standards Association of Australia. The use of standard symbols and abbreviations is of graet importance in facilitating transfer of technical information between designer and fabricator, both within the one organisation and from one organisation to another, because it is only by the use of standard representation that risk of any misunderstanding of the intention of the designer is eliminated.
