Abstract:

Numerous alternative approaches to service planning have emerged in recent years. They share common elements, most notably an attempt to clarify a desirable future as the basis for current and future services. These approaches apply to supported employment, transition planning, positive behavioral support, housing and support, community leisure, and other areas of concern. Potential uses of lifestyle planning processes in the field of rehabilitation counseling are discussed. Finally, these uses are considered in terms of potential areas of systems change in rehabilitation.
