Housing for life

Author: South Australia Dept for Transport Urban Planning and The Arts,
Year: 2002
Type: Web Page

Abstract:

This brochure outlines the Housing for Life concept. It identifies key design features that, with little effort or cost, can be altered to make our homes more supportive of the many phases of our lives. The Housing for Life concept promotes housing design that focuses on freedom of access. Housing for Life removes the barriers encountered daily by people who are elderly, disabled or temporarily incapacitated, by encouraging designers to ensure all new houses offer easy access and free movement throughout.
