This document outlines the latest proposal for changes to the Building Codes of Australia 1996 (BCA96) provisions for Aged Care Buildings and provides supportive and background information on each of the proposals to gather feedback to the proposed changes. It does not outline the final version of the BCA96 as further changes and/or additions are expected. It outlines the history of the building code as it applies to aged care plus details each of the proposals.
