Access for People with Disabilities: Signs

Author: CSIRO Building Construction and Engineering Building Information Resource Centre,
Year: 2001
Type: Report

Abstract:

This Building Technology File is intended to supplement the information given in the Building Code of Australia and AS 1428 ムDesign for Access and Mobilityメ, and to give specific information on the use of the International Symbols to indicate accessibility. The information applies to buildings and facilities for use by the general public, where arrangements and systems are in place to provide access for people with disabilities. Where facilities such as toilets or ramps are available, it is essential that people employed in the building and visitors know where they are, and the most convenient way of reaching them.
