Technology-supported Care at Home

Researchers have explored the attitudes of older Australians towards the use of government-funded technology to support aging in place. These included technology that can detect or alert a carer or family member about an emergency, such as a fall, and other technologies which can support independence, autonomy and safety. In addition to those potential positive outcomes, research participants also communicated concerns relating to privacy and cost of technology.
