Some fantastic new resources including videos and factsheets have recentky been relaesed by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) outlining the rights and obligations of consumers and providers in the emerging disability marketplace. THey are intended to assist people with disabilities, family and services to better understand and protect the rights of people with disabilities when making consumer choices.
When you pay for a product or service yourself, as an NDIS participant, or through your state or territory's disability support system - you have consumer rights. These resources from Australia's consumer protection agencies are designed to help you understand and use your rights.
