The University of Central Queensland is offering a free support program to link carers of older people with dementia in regional and rural Australia.
Called the Caring for Carers of People with Dementia Project, the program involves weekly group videoconferences where carers can share information, experience and skills in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
The program is available to primary carers of a person with dementia, and sessions are led by experienced facilitator, Dr Annie Banbury. The program runs for six weeks and will be offered through to mid-2019.
