National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Costs - Commissioned study

Published

The Productivity Commission is reviewing the costs of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). On the 22 Feb 2017, it released its issues paper. The 'issues paper' covers a range of issues on which the Commission seeks information and feedback, and is intended to assist you in preparing a submission.

Submissions are due by Friday 24 March 2017

The full study will examine issues including: the sustainability of scheme costs; jurisdictional capacity (including the complementary disability services provided by the States and Territories); cost pressures (including wage pressures); changes in the agreed escalation parameters; whether efficiencies have been achieved within the scheme; whether there has been any impact on mainstream services; and examine the most appropriate levers to manage any potential cost overruns.

More detailed information can be found in the terms of reference.
