The newly announced National Dementia Action Plan 2024-2034 is a 10-year framework intended to facilitate a coordinated and integrated approach to dementia support in response to the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety. It includes an online dashboard developed by the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare as part of the Action Plan's aims to support people with a lived experince of dementia, and the 1.6 million Australians caring for someone with dementia.
