Loneliness and Social Isolation Impacts Older Adults in NSW

Published

COTA NSW’s Voices of Solitude report on loneliness and social isolation among older adults in NSW found that 11 percent leave their homes once a month or less, with 40 percent of research participants engaging in social activities in person less than once a month. These may be important factors for understanding how care providers, communities and neighbourhoods can better support older people to maintain or grow their social connections.
