Ensuring inclusive design in public spaces in the UK

In the UK, Communities Minister Stephen Williams chaired a roundtable discussion on Oct 20th with key professional bodies and gave them a challenge to desgin buildings, streets and public space to be more inclusive and accessible.

Often the various needs of people expected to use public spaces are an afterthought and not considered during the design process stages.
