Disability Inclusion Legislation passed by NSW Parliament

Published

When the Bill commences later in 2014 it will become the Disability Inclusion Act and will replace the Disability Services Act 1993.

The new Act will require the NSW Government to undertake disability planning to support the inclusion of people with disability in the community, improving their access to mainstream services and community facilities in NSW. This Act requires that all disability planning be done in consultation with people with disability which will give them a greater choice and control over the supports and services they receive.
