The Australian Network for Universal Housing Design (ANUHD) has released their Report on the Progress of the National Dialogue on Universal Housing Design.
In July 2010, the National Dialogue, representing government, housing industry and community sectors, agreed to make housing more accessible with the goal that all new housing will provide minimum access features by 2020. Livable Housing Australia was established to assist the industry to do this voluntarily. The report concludes that, in spite of the support of the Australian Government and the sustained efforts of Livable Housing Australia, the housing industry has made little effort to change in the last four years.
