‘The Price is Right?’ workshops: Costing your services in an NDIS world.New dates released!Understanding the unit cost of your services is critical to your organisation's preparation for the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Your unit costing results will inform your strategy, your financial management and your marketing.Funded by the NSW Industry Development Fund, the NDS 'The Price is Right?' workshops will introduce participants to the principles of unit costing, using the recently released ADHC unit costing resources. These workshops will be held across NSW.This workshop is designed for those organisations beginning unit costing. Those with advanced knowledge are unlikely to benefit from the workshop.By the end of the workshop, you will: know the principles of unit costing have a plan to complete unit costing in your organisation. know how to use the new ADHC unit costing spreadsheet to determine your unit costs, and be aware of the potential benefits of using a spreadsheet or specialist software to complete your unit costing workEach organisation is welcome to nominate up to three people to attend the workshops. We suggest that one person should have a strategic role, one a financial management role, and one should have sound knowledge of the organisation's service delivery. In small organisations, one person might have all this knowledge. Small organisations are welcome to invite their Treasurer to attend. There is no charge for ADHC funded organisations. Participants will need to be comfortable working with percentages and formulas, and have a basic knowledge of how spreadsheets work.Participants should feel free to bring their own (fully charged) laptops or tablets, and dongles to the workshop, so they can view the resources online if wanted. However, this is not essential.
