The National Community Transport Conference 2024

Day 2 of 2

This year’s National Community Transport conference theme is Sustainable Mobility: Navigating the Future Together, Tipping Point 2024.

2024 presents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the sector. A ‘tipping point’ as ACTA tests its Community Transport Pricing Pilot, with the potential to develop ground-breaking new models and policies that will build a sustainable, efficient community transport sector in 2025 and beyond.

Join your colleagues, ACTA and our partners as we pave the way to a sustainable future for community transport, so that we can continue to help thousands of people around the nation live their lives.

This year, tickets include a Gala Dinner (Sponsored by Orcoda), as well as a nights’ accommodation at the conference venue – so you don’t have to worry about making your way home after this fun night! Additional nights of accommodation can be purchased through Humanitix.

A taste of our outstanding line-up of speakers includes:

  • Russell White, a leading advocate in driver safety who will help you ensure your drivers are safe, with the right road skills for the future.
  • Anne Muldowney of the Older Persons Advocacy Network (OPAN), Who will provide a consumer perspective, giving you insights into making improvements to your service delivery.
  • Jackie Furey, a Keynote Speaker with several decades of experience, who will explore the ‘value-add’ that CT providers add to our communities and give ideas about how you can enhance these benefits to CT users.
  • Professor Michael Pervan, CEO of the Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority (IHACPA), who plays a key role in advising Ministers of service cost and fees. Michael will provide insights into how IHACPA goes about this, and how you can be involved.
  • Richard Rees of Loftus Technology, with over 30 years in tech, Richard is specialised in advising businesses on best practices for cyber awareness. He will talk about employee cyber awareness, helping you mitigate risk, as poor personal digital behaviour quickly and easily translates to severe business risk.
  • Senior Staff from the Department of Health and Aged Care, who will provide invaluable, unique insights from a Government perspective. For providers in the sector, this is a must-see opportunity.

You will also have opportunities to check out new transport technologies from our sponsors, such as the latest in accessible vehicle conversions from Automobility, leaders in wheelchair access, and the newest electric vehicle technology from EV Automotive, the go to destination for electric vans, helping to ensure we are prepared for a green, sustainable future.
