Reflective Conversations Workshop. Understanding Dementia.

Support Dementia Action Week by participating in this free interactive workshop.

Reflective conversations can assist us to gain a better understanding of the various guidelines and principles that are central to providing inclusive service principles in relation to Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) service delivery.

During this workshop we will explore what it is like for someone living with dementia and how best to support them.

We will use the Exploring Diversity & Wellness Toolkit plus Elaine’s Story to highlight the importance of providing safe and appropriate services to consumers living with dementia.

This workshop will:

• Demonstrate the daily challenges faced by carers, family members, friends and people caring for someone living with dementia.
• Help you consider inclusive service principles and strengthen consumer-centered care in relation to diversity, wellness and rabblement.
• Provide an opportunity to self-reflect on how the Aged Care Quality Standards can be met against your own organisational structure and self-assessments in relation to people living with dementia.

Open to Managers, Team Leaders and Coordinators of all CHSP Service programs.
