Inclusive OT and MPW Care present another CPD event for OT’s to learn more about home modifications prescription and the practical skills needed to measure and assess. Participants will have access to an experienced home mods OT and home mods installers/ product specialists to assist with technical skill practice on the day.
This training event will feature practical workstations where participants can look, feel and touch a range of materials, rails, and home mods products as well as select practical activities of their choice, including : * Use of Measuring tools in home mods * Measuring for grabrails (toilet, bath, shower) * Measuring for handrails (steps & stairs) * Measuring & design for ramps * Bidet assessment & prescription * Sketching & photography in home mods * Intro to OTdraw (basic bathroom templates) Participants will gain valuable hands-on skills not available in textbooks, and be able to use their clinical reasoning to collaborate with carpenters and plumbers. Product specialists will also be on standby to showcase their products. Registration to this unique interactive event will include access to a recorded webinar on ‘Barriers to Home Mods’ with practical strategies on how OT’s can help their clients overcome them.
