51st AAG Conference

Day 3 of 3

The theme for this conference is “Advancing not retiring: Active players, a fair future”. This theme builds on previous recent AAG conference presentations where the importance of both enabling and appreciating the contributions that older people make to their families, communities and society was acknowledged.

The conference theme also acknowledges that opportunities for advancement are not evenly spread across the community. Older people who are poor, homeless, speak a language other than English, are LGBTI or from Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander backgrounds are less likely to be able to advance in older age than those who have more advantages.

The AAG Conference is the place to hear about cutting edge research from leading national and international experts in the area of ageing. The high-quality program will include over 250 presentations and discussions led by International and Australian speakers.
