This is a “hands on” 3 day workshop, held over 2 weeks to allow participants to apply learned content in their own workplace and consolidate learning outcomes.
Participants must attend all 3 days. Week 1: Monday 13th October
Week 2: Monday 20th & Tuesday 21st October 2014 (8:45am - 4:30pm each day)
Presented by George Xinos (Access Consultant and Occupational Therapist) and Wendy Chandler (Occupational Therapist)
This exciting 3 day course has been recently enhanced to give participants increased knowledge of DDA, BCA and relevant Australian standards when modifying private residences, and increased confidence in communicating recommendations and in producing & understanding common work specifications / scopes of work.
Participants will also gain specialised knowledge of home modifications for specific diagnostic groups including bariatrics, palliative, temporary illness/injury and dementia, and increased knowledge and skills in modifying kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and challenging access situations.
