UpSkill Training: NDIS and Housing

Day 1 of 2

A workshop about non-SDA and mainstream housing, home modifications, assistive technology, capacity building and support models.

This UpSkill workshop, brought to you by the Summer Foundation, is designed to build the capacity of support coordinators and allied health professionals to assist National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants find suitable housing that reflects their goals, preferred living arrangements and support needs.

Topics include:

• NDIS and Housing interface
• Mainstream housing and innovation
• Personalised housing solutions to support a person leaving hospital or residential aged care
• Short term solutions – STA, MTA and emergency accommodation
• NDIS supports including assistive technology and home modifications
• Person centred approaches to building sustainable support models – including ILO, SIL and daily living
